1. In my first two years, I worked on open-source EPAM initiatives in the life sciences. Practically, I have been working with Broad Institute, which is an American startup in life sciences, and I contributed a lot to their Cromwell WDL language parser.
2. The third year – I was driving an internal startup solution for the PyMOL (3D molecule visualizer) to implement the VR solution for Novartis (it was a genuine startup initiative – low budget, POC, received budget – MVP, then big budget)
3. During the next phase of my career, spanning 4 - 7 years, I led the development of a comprehensive DNA pipeline computation system for Novartis Basel AG. I assembled the team, managed the product roadmap, and ensured timely product delivery in a startup-like atmosphere, showcasing my project management skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. In parallel, I was working on the AWS migration for the Large Image Screening project, which was related to AI and data processing with medical imaging. It requires data security and high performance, so the high startup tempo persisted due to the amount of work and pressing deadlines.
4. 5-8 years – I developed Python expertise and was responsible for hiring decisions and the general vector of consulting growth. So I became Python Head Turkiye, with a headcount of 55 people.
Participating and leading the presales of total contract amount $10M+
Mar 2015 – May 2022, EPAM, Software Engineer -> Senior Software Engineer -> Lead Algorithm Developer
The EPAM Systems is one of the leading IT Consulting companies in the world. I worked in LifeScience, overperformed myself in development and delivering excellence to the world's leading Pharma vendors, which comprehended me with rapid career growth.
